Introduction

Dear Friends

The traffic in Trivandrum city has become a menace these days with the dialapidated condition of roads, the unruly autorickshaws, the careless city buses... you know it. And at many places we can see the traffic constables taking shade under a tree or in a waiting shed. Many of them are not aware of traffic rules.. and often they stand with closed eyes.

Thanks to the City police and the Government for conducting Traffic awareness week every year. Programmes include a few banners and an inaugural function at Kanakakunnu.

If you are back home in the evening on your bike or car, its nothing but God's grace.

I think its time to clear these things.

This blog is created to collect opinion from the city riders and pedestrians either and to submit a petition before the authorities.

Certain things which I have noted:

1. Deploy more trained police constables.

2. Its often found that autorickshaws park in the bus bays which is an added reason for the bus divers to stop in the middle of the road.

3. Bring light system in all intersections.
